Stonehead today is a recumbent stone circle
minus the circle, only the recumbent and its two flankers remaining. The stones
are large and all are erect, but there is no trace of the circle stones. There
are no published figures for the original diameter, and we could see nothing to
base an estimate on during our visit. Stonehead remains a sad reminder of what
must have been a splendid ring.
