The embanked nature of the site is very evident here, a row of the kerbs
that retained the bank
are exposed, left to centre foreground. The difference in size between the
stones of the inner "horseshoe"
and the later outer circle is obvious in this shot, even the two fallen outer
stones to the right are noticeably bigger.
