Between the two Clava tombs is a large elliptical ring cairn 18.3 x 15.9m in diameter which was restored around 1881. Although many of the kerb stones are missing, it is apparent that they were graded in height, the tallest surviving stone (1.3m), is at the SSW. Several of the kerbs are thought to bear cup marks, but these may just be the result of natural weathering. The central space of the cairn was excavated in 1951 and charcoal and bone fragments were found. The cairn is surrounded by a stone circle 31.6m in diameter, with the tallest stone measuring 2.3m at WSW. Strange stony "spokes" radiate from the cairn to the circle circumference at the WNW, SE and east, these are about 2m wide and have kerbs.

*Only circle stones tested
