The fort has an imposing presence and there is a beautiful curved slope, or
batter, to the walls.
Note the odd alignment of the entrance passage, when looking directly
through it, we do not see
the centre of the fort interior. The passage is skewed to the north and is
therefore not radial
to the centre of the structure.
