The view SE out of the front chamber through the gallery entrance.
Five and half thousand years ago the rising midwinter sun would have been framed in this doorway,
its rays shining along the length of the gallery. Although difficult to make out in this ultrawide photo,
there is a distinctive "bump" on the horizon that is also centered on the gallery axis, it seems that
the orientation and position of this cairn have been chosen with great care.
