The biggest of the circle pairs, C and D are also the most misshapen, with the grossly distorted C looking more like a rounded rectangle than a ring. The cairn here nestles in the northern "bay" formed by the the two circles, it contained an empty cist. Circle C was found to contain Neolithic deposits of charcoal, flints and pottery fragments, very much like those at  the Goodland ritual site in Co. Antrim. Two well preserved rows, a short high row and a long low row, run from the cairn, and there may also be the remnants of a second low row at the north. Several largish flat stones were visible within the interior of circle C.
