Mnajdra - Temple 1

A high level view along the axis of temple 1 from the NE. 
A classic trefoil layout, with a large axial apse, this feature atrophies to an axial niche in later temples.
Although this is the earliest and smallest temple here, it still shows the same basic construction as the later examples,
a roughly circular outer wall surrounding an inner wall that forms the apses. The space between the two
walls is filled with rubble, or sometimes in the later temples, with intramural rooms.
