La Hougue Bie - Internal Pics

The southern side-chamber.
This appears to be substantially unchanged from the state shown in the 1920's excavation photos. 
An obvious addition is the modern granite pillar inserted to support the massive roof slab here.
Like its twin opposite, this chamber has a raised floor retained by a sill slab, although the
northern sill slab was removed for examination, the material in both chamber floors remains
unexcavated.
The stone visible far left is one of the chamber segmenting stones, and that far right, the
southern jamb stone of the "sanctuary" area.
