The location of the roof
fall, around one third of the way into the passage, looking west.
This is good illustration of the heavy use of dry stone walling in the fabric of
the passage. The section of
dry stone work seen on the left of the above photo must be ignored as it is
directly below the shaft
driven into the roof fall area in 1924 and may be modern.
The first stones on the right are nos. 51 and 50 in Rybot's
scheme.
